How we help teens (and parents)
A therapist that will get along with your teen
We connect with teens as people first, without lectures or talking down. That trust is foundational for change.
Skills they can use tomorrow
We help them develop practical tools for planning, starting homework, managing time, and calming down when emotions run high.
Hands-on, not just talking through it.
When the time is right, we use workbooks and interactive activities so they stay engaged and leave with tools they can actually see and use.
“When teens understand their brain, they start to believe in themselves again.”
Does your teen experience any of these?
- They have a hard time staying organized with school, chores, and other activities
- They constantly resort to social media or video games whenever there is any downtime
- They have big emotional reactions that seem to come out of nowhere
- They get distracted easily by noises, random thoughts, and their phones
- They engage in negative self-talk often, and they have low self esteem
- They struggle with impulsivity, which usually leads to negative consequences

Does my teen need a diagnosis first?
No. Whether your teen has been diagnosed or you're just seeing the signs, we can help.
What if my teen doesn't want to go to therapy?
That's very common. We keep sessions relaxed and focused on what matters to your teen, which often turns reluctance into buy-in.
Will I be involved as a parent?
Yes, in the right balance. We respect your teen's privacy while keeping you informed and giving you tools to support them at home.
Do you take insurance?
We are out of network with all insurance plans. However, that does not mean you pay the full cost: most PPO plans reimburse a portion of out-of-network mental health care, and we submit your superbills through Thrizer on your behalf so you are not chasing paperwork. You pay the session fee, Thrizer files the claim, and your reimbursement goes to you.
Estimate what a session really costs you
Pick your plan's out-of-network rate, then enter the two numbers your insurer gave you on the phone.
With no out-of-network benefit, your cost is the session fee. Ask about reduced-fee availability on the free consultation.
An estimate, not a quote. Insurers reimburse a percentage of their own "allowed amount," which can be lower than the session fee, and every plan words it differently.
